Mobile Web

In September 2009, mobile devices accounted for 0.02% of UK web traffic. In July 2011, this had increased to 12.59%. Many people now use the internet exclusively on mobile devices without touching a computer at all.

So why have a mobile version if smartphone browsers are so good? The answer is the size of the screen. You can view a full website on a smartphone without any real problems except for the fact that you have to scroll back and forth and zoom in and out to read it properly - and that's where your visitor may lose patience.

This is where mobile-friendly websites are very powerful - it's the same content as the desktop version, but displayed so it's easily readable on a mobile device. And unlike many of our competitors, it's included as standard in the Base Website.
