Welcome to McGregor Media! We're a a website design and development company based in Middlesbrough and serving the North of England and beyond. We specialise in affordable websites for small and startup businesses.
We know that small businesses can find it hard to budget for essential marketing tools such as websites - which is why we're upfront about the cost. We hate waiting for estimates and quotes, and we love items with a price tag so we know how much we're spending.
McGregor Media was opened by Andy McGregor in 2011. Andy has 8 years experience in building websites for clients from a varied range of industries. He is qualified as a CIW Associate by the largest web training certification body in the world, Certified Internet Web Professional. Andy is a member of the Web Standards Group, an organisation dedicated to building accessible websites using valid and semantically correct code. Andy is also a member of BNI (Business Network International), the business referral organisation.
Award-winning
Just before McGregor Media started trading, Andy took part in Middlesbrough Enterprise Gateway's Strictly Come Business competition. This involved him pitching the McGregor Media concept to a panel of local business people in a Dragon's Den style. At the Strictly Come Business Awards Dinner on 17 November 2011, we were presented with Runner Up in the Best Pre-Start Business category.
How we do it
For those that like technobabble, we use XHTML and HTML5 with CSS2 and CSS3 to deliver the design of your site to your web browser, with a bit of help from JQuery and JavaScript. We use PHP and MySQL on the server to deliver the content.
